During my studies in fine arts and design I took an interest in screen printingIt was one of the three prongs of the fine arts discipline during my art school days and was a single course during my graphic design studies. After school was done I decided to go back to it and took a refresher workshop offered by La Bourgeoise Sérigraphe. Myself and a couple of my friends enrolled in the course and we were allowed access to a screen sprinting studio and supplies under the watchful eye of the shop owner, a veteran screen printer who actively took on commercial projects. Not only was it a lot of fun and a great refresher but I was able to produce three printed products. This poster, one of which current hangs on my wall, was my favourite result of the workshop. It's the result of a fine-liner drawing I did in a moleskin sketchbook, that I then took into illustrator to vectorize in order to prep it for the screen printing. The final result looks great printed on 8 x12 high quality paper in a white wooden frame.
