Calagaz Photo
While working as a web designer for a Canadian based software company, I had the opportunity to work with Calagaz Photo, a photography store, printing and photo services lab.
Calagaz Photo has a brick and mortar retail location based in Mobile Alabama. They are family owned and have been in operation since 1955. They also have a press printing and screen printing division.
On this project I worked with their staff to help create an e-commerce site that was both modern and user friendly. The mandate was to put an equal focus on both their photography equipment sales and the photo services they offer on site.
I used an easy to navigate, minimalist design that nevertheless made good use of their bright branding colours as highlight elements, to put their services front and center on the homepage. I think the simple site design keeps the attention where it needs to be, on the services and products the client offers.
